The BIFA award for our ATA carnet service showed the key role carnets play in the international freight sector.
Being chosen for an award which is a benchmark of quality is a pleasure, a reflection on our team, for the effort each of them put in.
The British International Freight Association have been presenting these awards since 1987. An excuse for a good dinner and meeting old friends, although they do have a deeper meaning for our clients.
Integrated Service
The judging panel commented on the value of offering ATA carnets in conjunction with the movement of goods, through our sister company, Dynamic International.
They mentioned how attractive this has proven to the the film and television industry, as well as to participants in overseas events. Sectors where timeliness, or control make the difference between success and failure.
Similar would apply in other areas where coordination counts. The training, technology and structure we have adapted also bring benefits to clients who have dedicated staff for carnets, or do not need freight management.
Carnet services from Dynamic Group are to a degree independent, from a separate company, Dynamic Dox. Integrated support is there when required, yet the same levels of service apply if you simply need an ATA carnet.
An Ethos Of Support
Our thinking starts by putting ourselves in our clients position. If we were controlling an international film shoot, or simply travelling by ourselves to an exhibition, what would we need to happen.
If anything went awry, an accident occurred, or timings changed, what back up would we want from an ATA carnet supplier. How easy would they be to contact out of hours, how reactive would they be to unknown requirements.
Good support is based on sharing the load and offering sound advice. A personal touch is part of this but ultimately, outcome matters.
In a way, the award can play a part in good outcomes. Those events help to cement relationships with other BIFA members and their guests, they increase profiles, get names recognised.
Being able to pick up a phone to people you know helps at times and can see global information shared. The best customer service originates internally but a wider outlook can ensure you offer truly great support.
